Model of a coffee grinder from a 19th century street cart coffee stall.
The model was made by Mr Michael Molesworth and commissioned for display in the Melbourne Exhibition at Melbourne Museum, opening in September 2000.
Physical Description
Miniature hand powered coffee bean grinder made from silver and copper coloured metal. The grinder has a small brass coloured handle in the centre of the hopper. The handle has a wooden knob on one end. The base of the grinder consists of a silver box with a small drawer underneath, to collect the ground coffee.
