Poster for the 'Richmond Bosnia Festival '83, held on the12-13 March, 1983 at the Burnley Oval, Swan Street, Richmond. It was an annual cultural festival organised by the Bosnian Melbourne Soccer Club.
The Bosnia Melbourne Soccer Club is the oldest and most prominent Bosnian and Herzegovinian soccer club in Australia, established in 1978 in Melbourne. The club is currently known and registered as Maribyrnong Greens Soccer Club and is based at Skinner Reserve. It played at various soccer play grounds including Flemington, Holland Park, Richmond, South Yarra, and Northcote etc, and won a number of the Bosnian-Australian national cups held at various places in Australia. The club competes with different ethnic clubs in various soccer leagues - for instance the club won the championship in the First Provisional League, also took place in 4th Victorian State league.
The club used to organise traditional cultural festivals with traditional Bosnian food, music, dance, folklore and other cultural programs such as club's annual celebrations and presenting club trophies and popular cultural events the Miss Bosnia. It participated in Moomba festivals.
