This lidded pot is decorated with story of the owl, and the lid is sculpted in the form of an owl. It has a mala or small wallaby in its mouth.
Physical Description
Earthenware circular ceramic vessel. Base circumference small. Balloons at centre. The circumference at the top is small and decorated with two rows of light blue dots. Decoration top half mottled colours, separated from lower by orange dots. Bottom half depicts owl with a mala in mouth. Etched and painted landscape. Two smaller owls perched, also depicted. Lid: sculptured owl and mala. The work is titled 'Owl with mala'.
