Summary
Figures like this diver duck made from buffalo horn are known to have been made by the famous artist Bobby Nganjmirra and another man called Albert. Kunwinjku elder and fibre artist, Garnbaladj Nabegeyo remembers these two men doing this work. She remarked during a visit to the museum in 2004 that 'They was carving. You know those Mary and Joseph carvings in the shop, up the top. That old man (Albert) did those.' The shop she refers to is the Border Store near Cahills Crossing on the East Alligator River.
