Physical Description
Oblong shaped shield with rounded ends. The handle is carved out of the solid and protrudes slightly from the posterior surface. Plano-convex in cross-section. The anterior surface is fluted, interrupted in the centre by a diagonal band of fluting in the opposite direction. This is painted in red and black ochre. The posterior surface is fluted at either end and painted red and black.
