Physical Description

Elongated oval shaped shield; plano-convex in cross section. Both ends of shield are curved upwards. Handle is carved from solid and flush with surface. Posterior surface is decorated with bands of alternate red ochre and finely fluted section in natural wood. Anterior surface is finely fluted in zig zag pattern and then painted in three sections of white, red and white ochre.
