One of a series of photographs taken by Museums Victoria staff photographer Ben Healley as part of a project to document the experiences of Hotel Quarantine in Victoria during the COVID-19 pandemic. They captures the experience of mandatory quarantine for one family and the doctors, nurses, security personnel and hotel staff supporting and caring for them. Here nursing staff prepare to visit quarantine detainees and conduct exit Covid testing. Here the field hospital nature of these early experiences of Hotel Quarantine are apparent, a luggage trolley is repurposed to carry medical supplies from room to room.
