Summary
One of a series of photographs taken by Museums Victoria staff member Lorenzo Iozzi part of a project to document the experiences of Victorians during the COVID-19 pandemic. This set of images shows posters and signage reflecting the impact of the pandemic in the closure of venues and events, in this case the closure of cinemas throughout Melbourne and suburbs. The signage in front of the Thornbury Picture Theatre advertises the closure of the cinema due to the pandemic with the slogan: 'Cinema Closed Until Real Life Doesn't Feel Like a Movie...But We Will Be Back'.
