The notice is printed on yellow paper and sticky taped to store furniture. It states 'Aggressive and abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. Our team is here to help, not to be hurt.'
This photograph was taken during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic in Melbourne in 2020. It highlights the issue of conflict that was happening at supermarkets and shops during the pandemic related to panic buying which had caused products to be in short supply for long periods of time, as well as non-compliance with public health strategies. These strategies were designed to minimise risk of infection with the virus for staff and customers, and included Covid safe behaviours such as social distancing, perspex safety screens, cashless payment and hand hygiene.
