Summary
Silver lame evening dress made by Prue Acton P/L, circa 1985. The dress was worn by Prue to the opening of Australian Fortnight, a showcase of Australian designers, at Neiman Marcus in Dallas, Texas, in 1986.
The dress was worn with a Marcos Davidson beaten silver armlet (SH 94.2367).

Physical Description
Full length fitted figure-hugging silver lame evening dress with long sleeves and high mandarin collar, to which a large dragonfly brooch is attached. The fabric is possibly wool, PVC and polyurethane on the black base; the silver pile may be PVC and polyurethane. The collar is fastened at centre back with two covered buttons and a zipper runs from the collar down to the centre lower back. The front of the dress is split from the collar to breast. The front hemline is shorter at the front and tapers to the floor at the back. The long sleeves have zip fasteners at the cuffs. The dress is lined with pale blue acetate.
