Summary
This mini dress was designed and manufactured in Melbourne by Prue Acton P/L in 1967.
According to the donor, it was a very early dress in Swiss voile, sewn by Eileen Lorraine. It is typical of the 'Victoriana' look then popular. Not a very big seller as it was quite expensive due to the fabric, lining and detail. A cheaper version came in crepe (Estacell).
Physical Description
Victoriana style long-sleeved mini dress in pale peach coloured voile. Neck and sleeves are decorated with ruffles and front bodice is pin-tucked. Front button opening is topped by a self-coloured bow. Lined in pink polyester. Transparent sleeves with a metal zip at back.
