Summary
This coat dress was designed by Prue Acton, and manufactured in Melbourne by Michael Guidara, who made all of Prue Acton's tailored garments during this period, It is made from Moygashell Irish linen. Donor says that menswear tailors could interpret her sketches and produce the patterns from her designs that were very feminine in shape.
This garment would have had matching slacks which could be worn together or as separate garments. Pant suits were a popular transition between mini and midi length skirts. It was originally worn by the donor.
Physical Description
Yellow linen long-sleeved mini coat dress with front zipper fastening from collar to just above hem. Three buckled tab fastenings are at bodice, waist and skirt fronts. The coatdress is lined with yellow rayon.
