Summary
This mini dress was designed and manufactured in Melbourne by Prue Acton P/L in 1967.
According to the donor, it was a very early dress in Swiss voile from Japan, possibly sewn by Eileen Lorraine. It is typical of the 'Victoriana' look then popular. Lines are a typical design feature for Prue Acton.
Physical Description
Maxi length long-sleeved fitted dress in black cotton voile (by Mettler?). Transparent bodice and sleeves are trimmed with black lace. Rows of lace also from the knee down. Fastened at the back with a nylon zip.
