Summary
One of a series of photographs taken by Museums Victoria staff member Lorenzo Iozzi as part of a project to document the experiences of Victorians during the COVID-19 pandemic. This billboard includes posters for Music From the Home Front, a television concert organised to mark ANZAC day and to recognise those currently fighting on the COVID-19 'front line'.
Traditional ANZAC day parades and commemorations were cancelled in 2020, as were all concert and music festivals due to the Covid-19 Lockdown and social distancing regulations in Australia and New Zealand. This event, billed as Live From Lockdown, brought together musicians from both countries for a 'live' television concert, performed and viewed from respective places of safe isolation.
Alongside the music posters are posters recording the number of drug tests for COVID-19 to date in Victoria, as well as a poster advocating safe hygiene procedures to prevent the spread of the pandemic. Other music posters promote Anthology, the latest album release by Vika and Linda.
