Summary
Collection of various glass pieces in a variety of colours used by artist Martha Ash circa 1996. Martha Ash was born in Poland in 1920 and lost all her family in the Holocaust. She came to Australia in 1949 where she studied ceramics, sculpture silver smithing, enamelling and glass mosaic work. These glass pieces were used as part of her glass mosaic work.
Physical Description
Collection of multi-coloured glass pieces. Colours include blue, yellow, green, red, white, orange and clear. Some of the pieces are small and smooth like pebbles and others are larger, irregular chunks of glass. Some are thin and flat, others are dense and textured.
