Handbag made by an unknown manufacturer, although the donor remembers that it was most likely made in Melbourne.

It was used by the donor for a number of years from around 1965, and is featured in many press photographs of her, both in Australia and overseas, including London and New York.

Physical Description

Black leather cylindrical shoulder-strap bag with metallic zippered fastening across top and right side. Centre front is a metal rectangular shaped name plate facility. The shoulder strap is attached with metal rings to each side of bag and consists of leather shapes and chains attached to metal rings.
