Summary
This outfit was designed and manufactured in Melbourne by Prue Acton P/L in 1986, from printed sik designed by textile artist Deborah Leser. This was a one-off, as the fabric was very expensive to produce. It was inspired by a trip to Kakadu - shifting sands, outback etc. Worn by the donor to the American department store Neiman Marcus's `Australian Fortnight' promotion in Dallas, Texas.
The crocodile motif was further explored in the range developed from Prue Acton's 1986 Melbourne Cup outfit 'Mock Croc'..
