Summary
This outfit was designed and manufactured in Melbourne by Prue Acton P/L in 1970. It was originally worn by the donor to 1970 Melbourne Cup, and to the first birthday celebration of the Prue Acton Cosmetics launch. It was later worn at the donor's 25th Anniversary Parade in 1988.
Physical Description
Long-sleeved brown gingham shirt dress, slightly gathered from waistline. Wide ruffle at hem. Eleven small pearl buttons at front opening. Each portion of garment has slightly contrasting gingham.
