Summary
This pair of earrings were commissioned by Prue Acton, probably from the Melbourne jeweller Marcos Davidson in 1986. They were worn by the donor with a `Mock Croc' ensemble (not in the Museum's collection) at the 1986 Melbourne Cup. Marcos Davidson made many pieces of jewellery for Prue Acton.
Prue Acton's Melbourne Cup clothing was specially designed for her to draw attention to Australian designers and in particular her forthcoming winter range.
Physical Description
Pair of bronze coloured metal clip-on earrings in the shape of curled up crocodiles.
