Programme published by the Orient Line, 1948. It is for the Ormonde Racing Club Red Sea Meeting, which was held on the Orient Line ship RMS Ormonde on Wednesday 2 June 1948. There are six races listed in the programme with the first commencing at 8:45pm and the last at 10pm. It was used by Mr and Mrs W. E. Allan and their son David, who was aged six, when immigrated to Australia from England on the Orient Line ship RMS Ormonde, departing London on 21 May 1948. They were sponsored by an 'Uncle Fred' and first settled in Tasmania before moving to Melbourne.
Physical Description
