Summary
Knitting needles and cotton, circa 1970. They were used by patients to make cotton dishcloths as part of an occupational therapy program at a mental health hospital in Victoria, Australia. The dishcloths were then supplied the hospital, the prison system and other government institutions. The pure, industrial grade cotton used to make the clothes came in huge boxes on cones which other clients wound into balls. These materials and tools show some of the work undertaken by patients in an occupational therapy program in a mental health hospital in Victoria, Australia.
