The advent of COVID-19 lock downs in mid March brought with it a series of panic buying across Melbourne, Victoria and the world. Grocery staples, such as meat and pasta, were among the most highly sought after products. Usually the cheapest cuts of meat were the first to be completely sold out.

Mostly empty display cabinet for lamb at supermarket. There is one unsold roast at the bottom of the cabinet. A woman with a shopping trolley can be seen at the next cabinet along (fruit and vegetables) to the right.
