Summary

Menu for the meal that was served at the Conversazione, hosted by the Government of Victoria at the Exhibition Building on 7 May 1901. The menu was printed by E. Whitehead & Co, Melbourne.

The menu included patties, sandwiches, entremets, jellies, creams, ices, dessert tea, coffee, cocoa, soup, and wines - including champagnes, Australian wines, sherry, port, ales, and various punches called cups. The caterer was H. Skinner.

Physical Description

The front of the menu is in brown, gold and green, with images of kangaroos, tree ferns and wattle in a frame. On the back of the menu is an etching of the Exhibition Building.
