Silver lurex pantsuit, made by Prue Acton &/or contractors, 1970-1975.
The donor had a long standing personal association with the Acton family and bought clothes from Prue and her mother when they began business in Flinders Lane, Melbourne in the 1960s. Her sister, Marjorie Simpson worked with Prue for many years and managed the South Yarra Store.
Body shirts and very wide flared pants were popular in the early 1970s.
Physical Description
.1 Long sleeved blouse of silver lurex in body-shirt style with collar and front buttoning to mid front. Fastens with four diamente buttons. .2 Long flared silver lurex pants with centre back zip fastening.
