Newspaper Cuttings book kept by Mrs. Isabel A. Green (nee Menzies), Acting Secretary to Exhibition Trustees from August 1938 to October 1938 and Secretary from October 1938 to November 1955. It contains newspaper cutting and some photographs relating to events and news of the (Royal) Exhibition Building during that period. It includes items on the aquarium, migrant reception centre and 1954 Royal Visit.
Physical Description
Foolscap sized scrapbook of 311 pages. Hardcovers with a grey marbled pattern, red leather spine and corners. Inside pages are brown paper with assorted newspaper cuttings adhered to the pages. The clippings deal with aspects of Royal Exhibition Building from January 1933 to March 1961. Inside back cover, a sticker for McCarron, Bird & Co, commercial stationers.
