Summary
Badge - Free the Refugees! Stop Mandatory Detention, which was purchased at a stall at Victorian Forests Anti-Logging Rally in Batman Park on Saturday 18 May, 2002. The slogan 'free the refugees' was used as a standard by the Refugee Action Collective Victoria (RAC) for its badges when it was established in late 2001. It was then adopted by many other organisations involved in protesting against Australia's refugee polices around that time.
