Football made by Sherrin circa 2001. It was a souvenir from the Federation Football Cup, a Centenary of Federation event played between Collingwood and Carlton on 6 May 2001.

The Centenary of Federation was held in 2001 to celebrate 100 years since the Federation of the six colonies to become the Commonwealth of Australia. A series of events was held in Melbourne in May to commemorate the opening of the first federal parliament held 100 years before.

Physical Description

Full sized Sherrin football, coloured white with gold lettering. The coats of arms of the Collingwood and Carlton football clubs are inscribed in gold. Logos of the Centenary of Federation, official AFL merchandise and Sherrin Kangaroo brand are also inscibed in gold.
