Summary
Architectural model of Boyd House II, Walsh Street, South Yarra, Victoria, built 1957. This was the second family home designed by the architect Robin Boyd. His first family home was built in Riversdale Road, Camberwell, in 1946-47.
The model was made by Paul Couch (Carter Couch, Architects) in 1989. It was donated to Museum Victoria for the exhibition 'Home Sweet Home : Changes in Victorian Domestic Architecture, 1839 - 1989'.
Physical Description
A long rectangle is roofed by a sweeping catenary of planks suspended on wire cables; there is a central courtyard, a living and parent's block at one end and the children's block at the other.
