Summary
This cylindrical wooden box with fitted lid was created as a souvenir for the Melbourne Centennial International Exhibition of 1888. The graphic depicts the Exhibition Building from the south east, including gardens, approaches and annexes. Though box, made in Germany, was purchased at the Exhibition.

Cylindrical wooden box with fitted lid. Pale brown varnish. Black text and graphic on one side. Graphic shows the Exhibition Building from the south east, including gardens, approaches and annexes. Lid is slightly concave. Interior raw, natural wood.
