Summary
Venetian embroidery tray cloth made by Mrs Violet May Wilson of Beaconsfield circa 1954 and exhibited by her in Agricultural Shows in country towns and cities throughout Australia.
Competing in the handcrafts sections of such shows was Mrs Wilson's hobby. Her daughter remembers her packing her work for despatch to a show, and the delight when it was returned with a prize-winning certificate.
Physical Description
Cream coloured cotton material. Brown crochet trim around edges. Border design of zig zag embroidery in brown. In opposite corners Venetian embroidery work in aqua and brown shades, with brown richelieu bars on its artwork.
