Summary
This pair of earrings were commissioned by Prue Acton from the Melbourne jeweller Marcos Davidson in 1987. They were designed to be worn by donor with `Dressmaker' ensemble (SH 942126) at 1987 Melbourne Cup, but instead she wore the Melbourne Cup Trophy (SH 942128.) Marcos Davidson made many pieces of jewellery for Prue Acton.
According to ex Marketing & General Manager all ranges were accessorised for local and overseas markets.
Physical Description
Metal and bakelite earrings in the shape of a dressmaker's dummy with distorted pedestal of wire. Earring .1 has a small rubber insert on the earclip.
