Summary
Stethoscope - Monoaural, Fergusson, circa 1890. Used in a psychiatric hospital in Victoria Australia 1880-1940.
According to Dr Herbert Boyer these stethoscopes were still in use until late 1930s.
Physical Description
A stethoscope made from tulip wood. Shape is similar to a wine glass with a long stem. Has a funnel-like section on top that serves as the earpiece and the rounded part at the bottom is the chestpiece.
