Physical Description

Child's cotton dress, with back opening to just below waist, fastened by 4 metal press studs and hook and eye at waist. Peter Pan collar with ruched frill, puff sleeves edged with ruched frill and front waist finished with covered self-material cord with ruched frill below. Tie sash attached from side seams, slotted through a loop on either side of back bodice. Skirt is gathered and finished with a plain hem. Collar white fine cotton, drawn thread stripe effect with red woven thread creating stripes every 7mm. Ruching has edging of 3 rows of red machine stitching. .

Garment worn by Andrew Reeves' sister in late 1950s.
