Summary
Belonged to Emlyn Robert Jones, the father of the donor, who was a gold miner in the Walhalla-Aberfeldy district. He discovered gold, circa 1908, in the area near Aberfeldy.
'Doctor' brand flannel is a form of pure wool flannel, often seen in work shirts, known colloquially as shearer's shirts.
Physical Description
Short sleeved, light brown woollen flannel work shirt, with front opening to the mid chest and three buttonholes (two buttons are missing.) An extra piece of flannel has been added to the back of the shirt, to help it to stay tucked in to the tops of the trousers. Two plackets have been inserted under the sleeves.
