Summary

Belonged to Emlyn Robert Jones, the father of the donor, who was a gold miner in the Walhalla-Aberfeldy district. He discovered gold, c. 1908, in the area near Aberfeldy.
This style of flannel is often seen in work shirts, known colloquially as shearer's shirts.

Physical Description

Short sleeved grey coloured flannel shirt, with front opening to mid-chest, with three metal buttons and buttonholes. The shirt has a longer part at the back, to help it remain tucked in to the top of the trousers. There are a number of silverfish marks, but the shirt is in generally fair condition and has not been worn.
