Summary
Belonged to Emlyn Robert Jones, the father of the donor, who was a gold miner in the Walhalla-Aberfeldy district. He discovered gold, circa 1908, in the area near Aberfeldy.
This style of flannel is often seen in work shirts, known colloquially as shearer's shirts.
Physical Description
Short sleeved light brown flannel shirt, with front opening and three buttonholes (all buttons are missing.) Longer at the back to help it to stay tucked in to the tops of trousers. There is red zigzag stitching at the back neckline. The shirt is is made of 50% wool and 50% cotton.
