Summary
Notice titled 'Occupations for Migrants without Personal Nominations' published by the Commonwealth of Australia in November 1955. It was used by the Booth family as part of the process of deciding to migrate to Australia. The Booth family, Ronald, Joan and their two children Ronald and Martin, migrated to Australia in 1956 under the assisted passage scheme. They left London on 18 May aboard the Strathaird and arrived in Australia in June. This notice lists various occupations which may be undertaken by different categories of migrants: single women, single men, married men without children and married men with families.
