Physical Description
Crotchless pantaloons of cream calico with widely spaced grey stripes. Each leg is a separate piece, joined only by the waistband at the centre of the back. The slit crutch extends 2/3 of the length of each leg, then the lower leg is gathered in by a band of material just above the cuff, which is also slightly gathered. The garment is held up by tapes tied at the waist.
