Summary
Alternative Name(s): Table Cloth, Doiley
Table centre of cream linen. Made by Mrs Violet May Wilson of Beaconsfield in 1943 and exhibited by her in Agricultural Shows in country towns and cities throughout Australia. The donor, her daughter, remembers Mrs Wilson bringing blooms indoors to copy on to her needlework.
Competing in the handcrafts sections of such shows was Mrs Wilson's hobby. Her daughter remembers her packing her work for despatch to a show, and the delight when it was returned with a prize-winning certificate.
Physical Description
