Handkerchief or scarf sachet of appliqued dark green velvet. It was made by donor's mother, Mrs Grayson, circa 1880-1900 - perhaps before the donor's birth in 1897. The donor is unable to date it more precisely.
The handkerchief sachet is similar in style to the appliqued wall-hanging SH92.667.
Physical Description
Large material envelope, made of green velvet plush material with appliqued flowers and leaves, and embroidered flower decoration. Lined with rose-pink sateen. Bordered in yellow woollen braid, with 11 woollen pom-poms, one is missing. Colours: green, fawn, yellow, pink, mauve, grey, brown.
