Formerly part of the Bayside City Council clothing and textiles collection; earlier provenance is largely unknown.
Physical Description
Indian muslin dress printed with diagonal stripes of purple/brown check and dot patterns around lower skirt, and small purple flowers on bodice and sleeves on a checked background. Fabric gathered from shoulders to narrow panel at waist. Shirred at midriff. Long skirt; long sleeves with ruching at top and fullness brought into short cuffs. Embroidered down centre back opening. Brass hooks. Calico lining is joined at midriff and shoulders. Calico pocket inside front.
