This flag was produced in the late 1950s as a sounvenir of the annual Moomba Festival in Melbourne.

Physical Description

Small triangular flag, made for use in the public processions and celebrations relating to the Moomba Festival in Melbourne. The flag, on a wooden stick, is printed in gold lettering on a black background. There is a gold border around the flag. It would have been made as a souvenir of the festival, and sold by vendors along the route of the Moomba procession, and at other events. The two o's in Moomba on the flag have been made to look like the faces of clowns; and the flag is decorated with a boomerang and two stars.
