Brown bottle containing ephedrine hydrochloride (adrenaline) used in the pharmacy at a mental health hospital in Victoria, Australia, circa 1920. Manufactured by Ets. Coutelier Breres. Although at times used as a decongestant and bronchodilator, it was also used to treat an overdose of sedatives.
Physical Description
Drug, Ephedrine Hydrochloride is a white crystalline powder, contained in a small, roundish, light brown, bottle with a screw-on black, plastic top. Emptied by conservation, residue present in bottle.
