Rag rug, made from dyed strips of socks and other pieces of woollen fabric pushed through a strong hessian backing, then trimmed off. In blue tones, with border of flowers in orange, yellow, red brown, green and pink tonings. It was made by Mrs May Marum of Ferndale Rd, Glen Iris, circa 1920-1935, and used in the home until it was collected on its sale in 1987.
