Pink beaded clutch purse purchased by Georgia Dereani in 1959 for a staff ball in Block 19 at Bonegilla Migrant Camp. Georgia Dereani, her husband and infant son immigrated to Australia from Trieste, Italy, in 1955. They spent the first five years of their lives in Victoria at Bonegilla Migrant Camp. Georgina and her husband became staff members at Bonegilla and were allocated private accommodation, which Georgina went to great lengths to make comfortable, purchasing many household items around Albury, NSW. Georgia loves shopping and clothes, she purchased this purse to accessorise her dress.
Physical Description
Very pale pink clutch purse with pearl like beads. The edges of the purse have a double row of beading, the front has several circular patterns amoungst swirled patterns, while the ornamentation on the back of the purse is plainer with swirled patterns.
