Souvenir metal prototype of a ticket to the opening night of Madame Butterfly, at the first Spoleto Melbourne Festival of Three Worlds, 1986.
The souvenirs were distributed to VIPs attending the event. The inaugural Spoleto Melbourne Festival of Three Worlds was a joint initiative by the Italian Arts Festival, the Victorian Ministry of the Arts and the Regional Government of the region of Umbria. The annual festival was later renamed the Melbourne International Arts Festival. The Italian Arts Festival was founded by Luciano Bini in collaboration with Franco Cavarra, artistic director and Franca Smarelli.
Physical Description
Rectangular brass ticket, engraved with extensive text, including the name, place and date of the show, seat and door number etc.
