Swing tag identifying 'Dudley Bear' in the Jakas Soft Toys range. Jakas Soft Toys was a Melbourne-based company which designed and manufactured genuine high quality soft toys from 1956. Their range included teddy bears, golliwogs, animals and birds. They ceased production in the late 1990s outlasting many local toy manufacturers competing with cheaper overseas imports.

Physical Description

Small rectangular shaped white card with an impression down the centre to enable folding. When folded the front of the swing tag has 'Dudley Bear' printed at the top in red with an illustration of 'Dudley Bear' also in red. 'Jakas Soft Toys' in printed under the bear illustration. There is an 'Australian Made' logo printed at the top of the back of the swing tag with green text on both sides of the tag. There is a hole punched at the top of the swing tag to enable attachment to toys.
