Summary
Port of Call leaflet for Port Said, Suez & Aden issued to passengers travelling on the P&O Line ship SS Iberia in 1955-1956. It was collected by Donald Dott during his travels between Australia and Europe in 1954-1956.
Many ships such as the SS Iberia carried both tourists and immigrants, and documents such as dinner menus, luggage labels, and King Neptune certificates were provided to all passengers.
Physical Description
Leaflet of light blue and black printing on white paper that opens to reveal four maps, two of Aden and Tawahi, Suez Canal and Port Said with tables of places of interest. On the back is information on Port Said and Aden including notes on population, climatic conditions, customs, currency and conveyance. There is also information on The Suez Canal. The front cover has two light blue lines of arrows at top and bottom. It has P&O printed in custom light blue text other light blue text and black text above an illustration of a globe with Europe and Africa facing forwards. All other text is printed in black. The maps are printed in black and sea areas are printed in solid light blue. The back pages have single lines of light blue arrows at top and bottom.
