Physical Description
Large painted banner in extremely poor condition. Blue dyed silk faille constructed with 7 horizontal fabric lengths, machine sewn French seams. Red trim. Recto: Large architectural style design set in an ethereal sky scape with allegorical figures surmounting and within architectural forms. Framed detailed tableaus on two levels describe ideology, skills and attributes of the union. Large tablet centre bottom holds lettering. Signed and date lower right hand corner.Verso: undecorated.
