Wooden salt box, circa 1900 used at Mayday Hills Hospital a mental health hospital in Beechworth, Victoria Australia. May have been made by a patient as part of occupational therapy program.

Physical Description

Wooden box with wooden lid used for storage of salt or other foodstuffs. Handwritten in ink on one side "SALT". Box is glued together. Handle on lid (half of a wooden cotton reel) is screwed on.
